Throw the clippings out back with Grasshopper 4X Rear Discharge DuraMax® decks
MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. The new 4X Rear Discharge (4XRD) DuraMax® deck from Grasshopper raises the bar on rear discharge mowing by putting a stop to windrowing and reducing problems caused by material build-up around engine and transmission. The 4XRD deck features specially designed cutting chambers that spread clippings and material behind the mower, leaving behind a clean cut in the process. The decks unique 4-spindle design cuts and spreads grass clippings while channeling material out the back of the deck and behind the engine. The design handles large volumes of grass without windrowing and avoids material build up in the engine. This innovative deck is desirable for contractors, municipalities and government operations when keeping clippings off of sidewalks, roadways and parking lots is essential. It is also perfect for cemetery applications by keeping clippings away from headstones and other markers while trimming on both sides. The 4XRD deck offers increased fuel economy and lower fuel costs to government and fleet operations; the system not only requires less power, but also runs quieter. The 4XRD deck allows the operator to trim on both sides of the cutting deck, and with the addition of an optional Grasshopper Edge-EZE edger, provides the ability to edge from either side of the cutting deck at up to 500 feet per minute. These rear discharge decks are built with rugged, durable DuraMax® construction and are available in 52-, 61- and 72-inch cutting widths for Grasshopper MidMount mowers.
