Brown and tan on the outside, green on the inside

MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. – All Grasshopper mowers are powered by engines that meet and exceed California Air Resources Board (CARB) and EPA air quality standards, including the MaxTorque™ diesel models that meet and exceed Tier 4i emissions standards and are B5-ready. Grasshopper mowers are powerful and fuel-efficient, reducing emissions, not only because of the advanced engine design but also by virtue of being quick and steady, completing jobs faster or mowing more acres in a day. The Grasshopper Company employs manufacturing efficiencies that optimize the use of material and production time. The efficiency of our state-of-the-art equipment and skilled work force results in little reject factor. The “drop off” scraps of steel are saved and recycled into castings. Even the earth tone brown and tan powder coating is “green,” eliminating waste and hazardous disposal problems associated with liquid paint. With Grasshopper, the equipment purchaser not only gains a machine that beautifies the environment but can rest easier knowing the company is working to preserve the environment as well. As an early proponent of alternative fuels, Grasshopper is committed to environmental stewardship and is currently supporting research seeking to produce both gasoline and diesel fuels from algae.
