For residential/homeowner use, Grasshopper zero-turn riding mowers are generally covered for 4 years or 800 hours, whichever comes first, while some models have shorter hour limitations. The engine warranty is always carried by the engine manufacturer and varies between 2-3 years depending on the manufacturer.

Serial plate locations vary by power unit and are either under the seat, on the frame by the left tire, or beneath the operator cushion on a stand-on. Serial plates are on the back-right side of decks and various locations depending on the implement. ROPS serial plates are on the right side of the bar.
