The GrassMax Blade System
GrassMax mower blades are designed to generate optimal airflow and to cut close to the deck edges, so secondary trimming is eliminated. Choose from a range of specialty blades to get the best quality cut in any mowing conditions, and make sure they are stamped with the Grasshopper logo and part number to ensure you're getting true OEM GrassMax blades.
When following the 1/3 rule, it's the ideal choice for a top cut in most side-discharge applications.
Not recommended in lush, moist, high-volume conditions.
Designed for use with Down Discharge™ mulching baffles, so clippings disappear into the turf without a trace.
Use Medium Lift blades if they were provided with your original package.
Use Medium Lift blades with any mulching package that originally included Medium Lift blades. Recommended for use with all PowerVac® Collection Systems. Also perfect for a variety of conditions, including sandy soil and dense turf.
Perfect for optimal leaf shredding in dry conditions with any 52-, 61-, or 72-inch Duramax® Deck.
Not for Down Discharge™ mulching but can reduce leaf and clipping volume in drier conditions.
Our standard, multi-purpose blade offers exceptional performance from the moist grass conditions of early spring to final mowing in the fall. Available with optional LaserEdge® EverSharp™ technology that requires no sharpening for the life of the blade.
Not recommended for mulching or vacuum applications. Consider Medium Lift or Contour blades in dry, sandy soils.
Ideal for side-discharge applications when tackling overgrown conditions or cutting thick, lush grass.
Not recommended for models equipped with engines rated less than 24hp, and not recommended for mulching or vacuum applications. Should never be used in dusty, sandy conditions.

All of our mower blades are made of MARBAIN® Steel.
These blades are 1/4-inch thick and are through hardened to hold their edge longer for a better quality cut. The reason is a patented heat-treating process that makes the mower blades 25%-40% harder, lasting twice as long as standard blades.
- 2X the life compared to standard mower blades.
- Greater yield strength—the strongest mower blades available.
- Need to be sharpened less frequently.
- GrassMax MARBAIN® blades standard on all Grasshopper zero-turn mowers
