Ohio Bed & Breakfast Owner Wins National “GRASSTERPIECE” Sweepstakes

New Grasshopper mower will allow neatly manicured grounds, and leave Innkeeper more time for guests. ZOAR, Ohio - June 1, 2011 - The Grasshopper Company has announced the winner of its “Grassterpiece” sweepstakes, awarding Gayle Potleicki of Zoar, Ohio with a brand new Grasshopper 120K–48 MidMount™ mower. The mower was presented to Potleicki at the historic Zoar School Inn Bed and Breakfast, which she owns with her husband Joe, on May 27. Helping deliver the mower were Grasshopper valued distributor Superior Implement & Supply Company (SISCO) in Greenville, Ohio and Grasshopper authorized dealer Country Sales Inc. in Orrville, Ohio. Potleicki was chosen at random from a pool of 23,490 unique entrants. The nationally administered sweepstakes ran from Jan. 1, 2011 to Mar. 31, 2011, as land owners began to prepare for their spring and summer landscaping needs. Entrants were allowed to enter daily, but Potleicki entered only once online, after seeing the sweepstakes advertised in Living the Country Life and Successful Farming magazines. “I saw the promotion and entered on a whim. I guess it was meant to be,” Potleicki said. With mowing season well underway, Gayle and Joe will be able to maintain a clean, manicured lawn throughout the summer at the bed and breakfast, which they have operated together since 2009. The importance of maintaining the property is dually important to the Potleticki’s, because the Inn serves as the source of their livelihood, as well as their personal residence. Since the Potleickis moved into the inn, the lawn has been a focal point in renovating the 175-year-old school house. Although the Potleticki’s have primarily used a lawn service in the past, they see their new Grasshopper mower as an opportunity to have more control in maintaining their grounds. “It’s a blessing to have the mower,” Gayle Potleicki said. “Now we can mow our lawn when we want to and how we want to… it will give us more independence.” Potleicki was especially pleased to win the sweepstakes, because of what she had heard about the brand from other lawn owners. “Grasshopper has a reputation for being a premium product. The fact that the mower won’t tear up our yard is a big bonus. Other machines can tear up our yard, and we want it to look as good as possible,” she says. “The features and easy operation of the Grasshopper can be enjoyed by homeowners and business owners alike,” stated Trent Guyer, marketing coordinator for The Grasshopper Company. Guyer added, “We’re excited our product will help maintain this historic property.” Both the innkeepers and the inn’s patrons will be able to enjoy the benefits of their new mower. “Our guests enjoy seeing a nice lawn as much as we do”, Potleticki says. “The upcoming summer and fall months are the busiest for the inn, so we hope to be spending less time worrying about our lawn and more time with our guests.”
