Grasshopper Mowers represents Kansas at Made In America Week in Washington, DC

WASHINGTON, DC – The Grasshopper Company, a leading manufacturer of commercial and residential zero-turn mowers, represented the state of Kansas at the "Made In America" Product Showcase hosted by President Donald J. Trump at the White House on July 17, 2017.

A Grasshopper Model 727T-EFI FrontMount mower was on display outside the Rose Garden along with 49 other products from all 50 states. Grasshopper mowers have been used by White House groundskeepers since 2003 for mowing, leaf collection and snow removal.

In addition to promoting “Made-In-America” products, Grasshopper representatives Trent Guyer and Sean Mudgett discussed challenges and opportunities with the President, Vice President, White House senior staff and Congressional leaders that US manufacturers like Grasshopper face such as taxation, regulation, healthcare policy, education, labor readiness and labor availability.

Every Grasshopper mower is designed, engineered, manufactured, assembled and tested by a skilled and dedicated workforce of more than 280 highly trained employees at a 350,000-sq-ft facility in Moundridge, Kansas. Grasshopper incorporates the latest manufacturing technology and automated systems including laser cutters, press brakes, CNC lathes and robotic welders to maximize product quality and minimize raw material input and waste.

Grasshopper mowers are sold through a network of nearly 1,000 independent distributors and dealerships in all 50 states, and one in every 10 Grasshopper mowers is destined for international markets in more than 40 countries worldwide.
