Grasshopper hosts Ned Yost, KC Royals manager, at factory

MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. – November 30, 2015 – Ned Yost, manager of the 2015 World Series Champion Kansas City Royals, spent the day at Grasshopper world headquarters Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Yost, who led the Royals to back-to-back World Series appearances, was joined by his wife, Deborah, to take delivery of a new Grasshopper mower during a factory tour and autograph session for employees.

"Ned and the Royals know how to power through until the job is complete," says Trent Guyer, marketing coordinator at Grasshopper and die-hard Royals fan. "They exemplify the best in sports, demonstrating the drive and work ethic to succeed at the highest level. We believe in a similar commitment to excellence at Grasshopper as we manufacture the highest quality mowers and grounds maintenance equipment."

Yost selected Grasshopper to maintain the lawn at his southern Georgia home based on the recommendation of his close friend and neighbor, comedian Jeff Foxworthy. Foxworthy uses several Grasshopper mowers to mow and complete other maintenance tasks on the grounds of his multi-thousand-acre farm.

"I've mowed with Jeff's several times, so I knew exactly which model is best for me," said Yost. "I'm going to love mine." Upon seeing the high-tech Grasshopper manufacturing facilities in Moundridge, Yost said, "Jeff has told me Grasshopper is one product that lives up to all its hype. He is right!"
